Long-distance move from Sammamish, WA to Weston, FL

Long distance moving Sammamish WA to Fort Lauderdale FL

So many bad surprises and extras costs

Starting in Washington 1-they never protect our carpet - extra costs for us to clean it. 2- they removed all clothes from drawers and charged extra packing materials ( we had in person estimate and this was never mentioned)

3- extra 800.00 to unload at the storage unit after a intimidating approach by the truck driver saying that he will leave everything in the sidewalk if we refuse to pay

4- missing box and again another discussion with the crew . They said that we probably missed the count. And the box was really missing but since it took us 6 months to removed everything from the storage, it was too late

I regretted a lot to had hired this company

Long-distance move from Redmond, WA to Denver, CO

Misleading.

They claim they're all about customer service, but they're really not. They claim an in person inspection will guarantee you a no more than 10% increase, but it'll end up being far more when they weigh it. My $3100 quote ended up at $4000.

They say they take care of your goods but they don't care. They damaged my bike after assuring me it would be fine, and then they didn't care and said it's my fault for not crating it--which I didn't since they assured me it would be fine and they were experienced etc.

When you try to submit a claim they're unhelpful and don't care.

Long-distance move from Washington to Montana

Excellent movers!

We used Jordan River Moving and Storage to move from Seattle, WA to Bozeman, MT and couldn't be happier with the experience. The folks from start to finish were all very professional and wonderful. Sandra, Ydelgar and Margarito were friendly, fast and careful. If we move again, they'll be our first call. They were fast and efficient and everything arrived in great condition. Their organizational skills and ability to stack and arrange things is unreal. I was sure we'd need a bigger truck and somehow they made it all fit with lots of room to spare, all with no damage to note.

Long-distance move from Washington to Idaho

No communication between front office and warehouse.

They packed and loaded our home for a move out of state. I'd say they packed well. Nothing broken or even slightly damaged. After packing, they load and you really have to watch here. We found them leaving stuff behind. Had us stumped. There is little communication between office and warehouse. We asked for a few things be in our file for movers to do and when they came, they had no idea what we were talking about. Example, Tempurpedic mattress. Every single professional mover will tell you that the bed has to remain flat and on top of everything when moved. Damage is caused is standing up. We had serious trouble getting them to understand this. Office said it was in our file and warehouse called "BS" on them.
Their blankets are horribly dirty. Your beautiful and clean furniture will need cleaning once it arrives. Doubt they've cleaned them in 20 years. Our stuff arrived safely but with a few bumps. And what's funny is if you cause even the slightest bump, they charge you but if they make a huge mistake (transporting overweight so it's held up in truck stop for a second truck to arrive) they throw out the "your contract says 3 to 21 days to be delivered". They won't accept fault for their mistakes. If all is good, they are your best friends but if you mention their dirty blankets or about the delay..well..your not their best friends anymore. I'd say they are a average mover. They'd be better if they improved just a few things but doubt that happens for a while. I don't have any hard feelings for them nor have I had any nasty discussions with them. On the contrary. I just feel I should get back one extra day delivery charge they took from me since they delayed delivery by one day due to their own fault.

Do not use this company.

We used Jordan River moving to move into our new house.   We are so disappointed with the quality of the service.   They have messed up so many things and make the whole experiences so painful.  I am listing some of the issues here based on the order of severity a.       They forgot to take the shelves in our media center cabinet from the truck.  We ended up with a media center without shelves. b.      They did not properly installed our beds.   We have to reinstall the beds ourselves and found bolts missing.   So far, no luck in finding replacement bolts.      c.       We have to hire someone to clean the carpet in the old house because they walked from back yard to front yard through the house carrying flower pot which is dripping mud water. d.      We have to fix our electric recliner because it stopped working.  Some force during the move pushed the power button in.   Luckily, we managed to get the power button out.  Do not know how long it will last. e.      They disappeared on the way from our old place to new place.   We were waiting for them and wondering if they got lost.   Later, they told us that they went to have dinner on the way.   It is fine to have dinner, but we should not be charged for it and we should be informed. We were told that it will take 4-4.5 hours to move our stuff when they do the initial walk through.   It took them 9 hours.   It is a THREE member crew.   It is a surprise to us that the move takes this long.   A lot of boxes are also putted into the wrong rooms in the new house.   Today, we are doing the micro-move within the house:  dragging boxes from bedroom to kitchen.     Do not use this company for any local move!  Otherwise, you will regret it!  .

Where Quality and Integrity are NOT Priorities.

The employees of this company were negligent, reckless, careless, irresponsible and unethical. They lack training, integrity and pride as shown in the following: 1) The foreman wore and stole a souvenir hat. It is being returned. 2) Electronic cords ripped apart rendering the items unusable.  3) Poor wrapping of breakable items and in some cases…not wrapped at all and delivered in pieces. 4) Dropped file cabinet during delivery and breaking items inside that were never wrapped. 5) Broke off “fixed” handles on 4 of my two-drawer file cabinets for a total of 8 handles. 6) Broke all 4 wheels on office chair. 7) Two under sink cabinets were missed during packing. 8) Nails and screws to office furniture not wrapped properly and stored with furniture while disassembling. Instead they were thrown into different boxes. This even prevented the movers from reassembling the furniture upon delivery. 9) Food scraps being wrapped and shipped to us.  10) False accusation regarding my dog biting one of them as a reprisal for my claims against movers.   In fairness to the company, I must mention that the owner said that he would retrain his employees.  The stolen hat was found in the foreman’s moving truck and will be returned to us promptly. Customer Service rep was very friendly during the 3 weeks I worked with them on these issues. We were offered $500 compensation if we agreed not to write any reviews, go to media or talk to anyone about our experience. We refused the offer. Consumers have the right to know!

Long-distance move from Washington to Oregon

Lousy movers.

My sister and her husband moved from washing to Oregon 5 hrs away. After they packed the house items were left behind. Found wires yanked out of the electronic items. One guy out on my brother in laws hat and really liked it. Have not seen the hat. Once they moved items were damaged. They wrapped the dumbest things and yet would not wrap breakable items and left then in a file cabinet. We found more items. The phone cord was ripped from the wall.
It looked malicious. Why would someone treat someone else's stuff so crappy? Jordan river you should hire English speaking people and people who care and pack with care. My sister and her husband so upset with this company. They will be writing a review. Take these negative reviews seriously. Or experience it yourself. Such a disappointment!

Long-distance move from Washington to Georgia

Never you this company.

Before delivery, I had clearly noted to the dispatch on phone the intersection of streets where truck should arrive to deliver my goods. However, the truck came at a different intersection. I was easily charged $100 more as the distance of the point where truck actually came to my apartment door was a lot more than the other one. I told the driver to measure the other distance and he rejected that thought with no reasons.
There was some damage done to my furniture which I wanted the driver to note down in the exception section. The driver SHERMOE wouldn’t agree to do so. Instead, he started verbally fighting with me. He raised his voice, started using statements like “I know how to deal with customers like you”, “You have paid nothing for this move” etc. It was scary and threatening. He insulted me all throughout the time he was inside my apartment. At the end, he left my dining table unassembled on the floor. He even asked me to help him assemble the bed as he only had one other person from other third party company. The whole experience was scary and the driver was verbally abusive.  I am in touch with my legal counsel to see what my legal rights are in this case. I
I had requested the customer care to have the owner of this company call me to discuss driver’s behavior. He never called, however

The sales representative John told me the following over the phone at the time of selling the moving service.
1.       Jordan River is a direct moving company and not a broker and they only use Jordan River trucks.
2.       During pick-up and delivery, I would only see Jordan River people and no one else.
3.       He also tried his level best to prove that another company “all state movers inc” were a broker and not a direct company like Jordan River because they didn’t have their own trucks and their own people.
In absence of above 3 factors, a company has basically negotiated a deal with some other moving vendors which is a key to identify a company as direct moving company or broker. It was really important for me to hand over my goods to a direct moving company that won’t negotiate a deal with some other moving company.
At the time of pickup, there was a Jordan River truck and Jordan River people. However, this wasn’t the case at the time of delivery. The truck was from a company named MAP Moving  & Storage, Miami FL. The driver had no helpers from Jordan River with him. He called a helper from a third party company. There was a big confusion while the driver and his helper were moving my furniture in to my apartment. The driver had not clearly told the helper that he would also have to help him assemble the furniture. The other person clearly explained me that the driver had not mentioned that before. The driver started shouting on him and there was a lot of chaos. My move was delayed by 20 minutes

All in all, this company tells you everything wrong about itself. The sales person lies to you about the company and how the move would take place. After your goods leave Seattle area, it is some other company that handles your goods. Not sure how many hops the goods go through. In my case, boxes were damaged, scratches on tables, broken guitar chords etc.

Local move within Seattle, WA

Excellent experience.

Jordan River moved me from one apartment to another in Seattle last week. The three young guys turned up in matching t-shirts, looking professional. They were fast, hard-working, and careful with my things. Not a single item was damaged or lost, out of a very full two-bedroom apartment. I have a lot of fragile items, including a hutch with removable glass doors, a glass table top, and a dozen or so framed pictures. I had rented plastic tubs from Hive Boxx and expected to be fully packed by the time they arrived, but had run out of boxes and my kitchen was utter chaos when they turned up. So they provided four or five big boxes for me and packed the remainder of my things without complaint. I highly recommend them.

Destroyed Belongings and Jordan takes no liabilty.

If there were a way of giving this company a negative rating I would. NEVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY NO MATTER HOW CHEAP OR HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE!!
Terrible customer service, complete hassle,
they destroyed my belongings, won’t return my calls and the expense of fixing the antiques was more than the move.
